Illustrator and Photoshop, 1999.

A vector outline was created for the flower (the same one as in Firelily I). The black shading was done in Illustrator using a gradient mesh. Lines within the flower were stroked, the strokes converted to paths, and the paths filled with gradients. Smoke and lettering were done in Photoshop.
