Altered photograph, 1997.

This image uses Painter's mosaic tool, tracing over the original image using a Wacom drawing tablet. The mosaic tool was set to clone colors (with variance) from the photo as it was traced, and to use pen pressure to control tile width. Texture for the tiles was added separately.
