Call for ParticipationPostersPosters provide an opportunity to share late-breaking results at the UPA conference. The 1999 conference will include a poster session to focus on work that was completed closer to the conference (and well after our regular conference deadlines have passed). We hope experienced practitioners will use this medium to present new or even incomplete work that suggests promising directions. We also encourage UPA members who have not presented before to use this more informal setting to share their results. Submission guidelinesPoster submissions must consist of a cover page, a poster description, a two-page companion paper for inclusion in the conference proceedings, and background information about the poster presenter(s). For online submissions, please prepare your documents in either Microsoft Word format (version 6 preferred), or rich text format, or plain text. The presenter's background may be either a separate file or included in the session description. The companion paper must be in Microsoft Word or rich text format only. Plain text will not be accepted. Cover page (1 page)Download and complete the printable cover page (PDF file, 72K); mail or fax this to Cara Marlin, as directed on the cover page, along with your description, companion paper, and background documents. Alternatively, you may send your submission online. Poster description and companion paperDue to the blind review process, the review panel will receive only your poster description for review, so some information on the cover page must be repeated in the poster description. Do not include your name, product name, or institution on any page of the poster description. At the poster session, you will be provided with a 4x8 foot tack board on which to mount your poster. In your submission, include the following:
Your background (1 page)On a separate page, describe the background and experience of each presenter relative to the poster presentation. Include name(s) and institution(s). This page will not go to the review panel. DatesAll submissions must be postmarked, faxed, or e-mailed by March 1, 1999. Poster presentations will take place at a conference session to be announced. Additional requirementsPresenters will be required to prepare posters and present them at a poster session at the conference.
