Review processTo ensure a fair evaluation of submissions and a diverse and interesting program, the UPA employs a two-step review process. First, submissions will be reviewed blindly by a review panel made up of members of the association. Abstracts will be rated for overall quality. Separate review panels exist for the tutorial, workshop, conference programs, and posters. Review panels will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
Next, review panels will submit reviewed submissions with comments and ratings to the conference committee. The final recommendation for all submissions will be based on the following:
The conference committee may accept your submission unconditionally, conditionally subject to subsequent revisions, or reject it. Committee chairs will strive to diversify the topics, skill levels and types of institutions represented.
